Drive to Kabini Back Waters

Drive to Kabini back waters was not part of the plan, actually we didn’t had any plan before we started from Bengaluru for this trip. Since it was last minute plan to go out for a hang up, we didn’t had any particular plan, we just booked the home stay near Koorg and started our journey.

As usual it was late night drive and stopped near Mysuru place for a quick break around 3.00 AM. Its was a quite good time to take a pic under lights without any crowd.

Got some of good clicks and continued our journey reached our destination around 8.00 AM. Booked the same home stay Nisarga comforts, which we visited almost 5 years back when we visited Iruppu falls. Because of long weekend and holiday season all the places were crowded so decided to just hangout around home stay.

While coming back we took HD Kote route via Nagarahole forest with the hope of seeing wild animal.

It was a wonderful drive inside the forest, most loved part of this drive was roof top open journey. This was most awaited journey and got some wonderful clicks.

This time also no luck of spotting the wild animals. Stopped near Kabini back waters view point.

It’s a very good place for hangout and photo session. After clicking couple of pics headed back to Bengaluru.

Secret of Bangalore – SOB

Its one of the fine place at Namma Bengaluru to chill out with friends, this place is surrounded with great ambiance and tasty food.

SOB is located near RR Nagar (Rajarajeshwari Nagar), previously sun pub was there at this place!  It’s a huge place and have many seating arrangements, we can select non-smoking or smoking zone as per our requirement.

Better to book a table in advance since it will be too much crowded and very difficult to get a table especially on weekend. Though its open for lunch time, It looks more beautiful under lights.

The service is great, the food is very tasty and one should try sea food here.

A totally different hangout place inside the city and must visit place.

Vani Vilasa Sagar Dam

Visit to Vani Vilasa Sagar dam was not a planned drive, though it was in bucket list from quite long time didn't get a chance to visit this place. While coming back after attending friends marriage near challakere, we thought of driving to this beautiful dam and spend some time before we head back to Bengaluru.

About Vani Vilasa Sagar Dam: Vani Vilasa Sagara, popularly known as Mari Kanive. This dam is constructed across Vedavathi river near Marikanive village in Hiriyur Taluk of Chitradurga district during the year 1897 to 1907.  The Vedavathi river is a tributary to Krishna river.  The main object of VV Sagar Project is to provide irrigation facility in the drought prone areas of Chitradurga district.

It is located about 20 Kms from Hiriyur, 55 Kms from Chitradurga, and 180 km from Bengaluru. It will not take more than 3 hours to reach this place from Begaluru.

This place is open to visitors from 8.00 AM to 5.30 PM and there is no entry charge for this place.

There are two side entry to the dam, its better to take a entry from the government IB side. The view from this side is amazing view of the dam, its sea green feel, surrounded with windmills.

There are few quite good places around this place to visit like, Chitradurga fort but because of time constraints we headed back to Bengaluru after spending some time in clicking the pics around this beautiful place.

Nageshvara Chennakeshava Temple - Mosale

Mosale is a small village located around 10 Kms Hassan city. This is one of the must visit place if someone loves historical places, most of us won’t be knowing about this temple. Though it’s a quite small temple compared to Beluru & Halebedu, its equally beautiful place 😊

About Mosale Temple: The Nageshvara-Chennakeshava temple was built in 1200 A.D. under the Hoysala dynasty. The temple complex is protected and maintained by Archaeological Survey of India. Standing adjacent to one another, these temples are the perfect example of identical twin. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Nageshwara temple is in the south wherein Chennakeshava temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu stays in the north. It tells a lot about the perfect balance between Shaivites and Vaishnavites of that time.

The temple will be open for the visitors all the days from 7.00 AM to 8.30 PM. Avoid traveling in a big vehicle if planning for some family trip in a Bus considering the narrow roads and the parking place.

It’s a quite peaceful place and worth visiting place 😊

Drive to Sakaleshpura

Sakaleshpura is one the most popular gateways around Bengaluru.  Since it’s one of the famous routes for a quick ride around Namma Bengaluru saw many bike raiding groups on this route 😊

There are lot of options for food on this route. Quite famous one are ‘Kicchana Halli Mane’ and ‘Swathi Delicacy’ which are one opposite to each other and located near Kunigal. Kicchana Halli Mane opens at 6.00 AM and closes at 10.30 PM. It’s a very decent place to visit with family.

After having breakfast in Kicchana Halli Mane stopped on the way for quick photo shoot.

Spent some time in photo shoot and headed towards Mosale Temple near Hassan.
