Waltham

Waltham is a city in Massachusetts, United States. The original home of the Boston Manufacturing Company, the city was a prototype for 19th century industrial city planning, spawning what became known as the Waltham-Lowell system of labour and production. The city is now a centre for research and higher education, home to Brandeis University and Bentley University.

New York

New York City comprises 5 boroughs sitting where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. Its iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park. Broadway theater is staged in neon-lit Times Square.

Boston Duck Tour

Super Duck is a unique tour of Boston’s waterfront and Harbor aboard a duck boat – an amphibious vehicle that can drive Boston’s historic streets and then plunge mightily into Boston Harbor for an exciting narrated look at the city. Finally reached Duck Boat and boarded Duck Boat.

Boston

The first thing I liked about this place is ‘Boston Logan international Airport’. The landing on this airport was amazing. Flying on the sea and landing at the edge of sea shore, Uhh., it’s a great experience.

Washington DC

Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and also known as D.C. or Washington, is the capital city of the United States of America. Founded after the American Revolution as the seat of government of the newly independent country, Washington was named after George Washington, the first president of the United States and a Founding Father. Washington is an important world political capital. Located on the Potomac River bordering Maryland and Virginia, the city is one of the most visited cities in the United States, with more than 20 million visitors annually.

Maldives

The Maldives is made up of around 1,190 individual islands, scattered across the Indian Ocean, just below India and Sri Lanka. Some are so small that you’ll have to zoom way in on your Google map before you even notice they’re there.

Bhutan

[Part-1] Bhutan Planning

Trip to Bhutan was organised by Bangalore Adventures Team. When I saw that mail asking for registration, without any second thought registered for trip to Bhutan. Initially trip was planned for group of 10 people but we ended up with group of 25 members.

[Part-2] Phuentsholing – Paro – Thimpu

Phuentsholing: Plan was to reach Bhutan by road from Bagdogra. From India Phuentsholing is the entry point and need to get a permit to Paro and Timphu (for Indians we need only permit not Visa). Phuentsholing is around 165 Kms from Bagdogra Airport and easily it will take 6 to 7 hours to reach considering the narrow roads and including the breaks (but according to Google maps its 4 hours journey).

Paro: The charming town of Paro lies on the banks of the Paro (or Pa) Chhu, just a short distance northwest of the imposing Paro Dzong. The main street, only built in 1985, is lined with colourfully painted wooden shop fronts and restaurants. Paro is one of the best Bhutanese towns to explore on foot and is worth an hour or two’s stroll at the end of a day of sightseeing. But, most of the shops will close by 8.00 p.m. and even Restaurants.

Thimpu: Thimphu is the capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan, and with a population of around 80,000 is the nation’s largest city.

[Part-3] Punakha

The Punakha Dzong, often referred to as the ‘Palace of Happiness’, is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan. This spectacular emblem of Bhutanese religious architecture sits right at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers and is perhaps the obvious key to unlocking Punakha’s secrets.

[Part-4] Trek to Tiger's Nest

According to legend, Padmasambhava flew to the cave on the back of a Tiger. Taktsang literally means “Tiger’s lair,” which comes from an alternative legend involving the former wife of the emperor and Padmasambhava. She transferred herself into a Tigress and carried Padmasambhava from Tibet. Again, this is where Padmasambhava mediated but this time emerged in 8 different forms and why the Tiger’s Nest is such an important site among Buddhists.

Thailand

Party @ Pattaya - Thailand

Bangkok visit for this time was limited to only Pattaya; we were in Bangkok for Seena’s bachelor’s party J. Directly from Bangkok airport we took cab to Pattaya, from Bangkok it’s around 150 Kms (3 hour journey) to Pattaya. We hired a cab from airport (the cab reminded me Rajanikanth’s BASHA movie :P) to Pattaya, its 10 seaters cab and they will charge you 3000
Thai Baht.

Koh Larn Island (Coral Island)

Koh Larn is a wonderful little island situated near Pattaya. We have many options to reach the island, we can hire a speed boat or we can board a ferry which runs every 30 minutes from south Pattaya. For ferry ride they will charge 30 baht per person and it will take around 45 minutes to reach island. The ferry ride will provide you some beautiful view of Pattaya.

The construction of sanctuary of truth is started in 1981.  The objective was to build a wooden structure, in order to preserve and revive Ancient Knowledge. It is not only a replica of an ancient art, but also power of contemporary creation. It has searched for proper things from different cultures and mixed with traditions of past, giving rise to the new fine arts. The parts emerging from its foundation are all build of wood, to meet the intention of constructing the real “Wooden Sanctuary”.
