Bettamugilalam & Panchapalli Dam

Bettamugilalam is one of the lesser known hill stations of Tamil Nadu and just 90 Kms away from Namma Bengaluru. One of the best trails for one day ride. Ride was planned at the last minute, Sharath & Ramya were planning for a quick one day ride and checked about our plans for November 1st holiday! Till that time we didn’t had any plans and without thinking too much we said okay for the ride.









Krishnagiri Dam

Krishnagiri is well known for a short bike rides/drives over a weekends. Even my all previous rides/drives were limited to McDonalds on the highway, while going through one of the travel blog got information about this KRP dam (Krishnagiri Reservoir Project) Just at a distance of 100 Kms, we will find this beautiful place.

Hogenakkal Falls

The Hogenakkal waterfalls, originating from the Kaveri river, is one of the most popular spots for a trip from Bangalore. For one of our team outing we decided to visit this place, usually all my trips will be with small group. But this trip was with around 50 people šŸ˜Š



Yelagiri Hills

Yelagiri (Elagiri) is around 165 KMs from Bengaluru. One should take Bengaluru – Chennai Highway to reach yelagiri. 



Moyar Check Dam - Masinagudi


Around Masinagudi we don’t have much places to visit (at least I couldn’t find). In evening we decided to visit Moyar check dam which was around 10 Kms from the hotel which we stayed in Masinagudi. This place can be reached in our own vehicles or we can get a taxi/jeep rides
from Masinagudi. 

Masinagudi is around 245 Kms from Bengaluru and can reach in 5 to 6 hours depending on Mysore road weekend traffic. Started from Bengaluru early morning, by the time we picked every one in our group it was already 5.00 AM! Stopped near Bidadi for early breakfast šŸ˜ŠAfter couple of pit stops for tea breaks and reached our destination at 11.00 AM.


Yercaud is one of the beautiful hill station in Tamilnadu. Its around 230 Kms from Bengaluru. Since the road condition is super fine one can reach with in 4 hours from Benagaluru. 


Ooty (short for Udhagamandalam) is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India's Tamil Nadu state.


Avalanche Lake - Ooty


Avalanche is located around 25Kms from Ooty along the road leading towards Majoor via Emerald, easily it will take 2 hours to reach the destination, road condition is one reason and through the beauty which you have to pass will make you to stop many times..!!! 


Lakidi – Upper Bhavani Lake




Emerald dam is one of the lovely lakes around Ooty and it has a scenic view and attractive. After exploring Avalanche and Upper Bhavani lakes we headed towards Emerald dam. It is  a beautiful place with pine trees and farms surrounding the blue water of Emerald. This is one of the must visit places when you are around Ooty.


A Journey on TOY Train J









Pichavaram the second largest Mangrove forest in the world, it is one of the unique Eco-tourism spots in South India. Both paddle boats and motor boats, operated by the Tamil Nadu tourism department, take passengers through the mangrove forest daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. 


Kodaikanal is a hill town in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and grassy hills. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the town center's around man-made, star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, bordered by evergreen forest.


Kanyakumari


Kanyakumari is located at southernmost part of India, a place of scenic beauty and breath taking architecture. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South India. The beauty of this place is, one can witness both sunrise & sunset at this place. And also can observe the waters of Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea getting combined into the Indian Ocean. The beauty of this place lies in its wealthy cultural heritage, ancient temples, multi-colored sands and dramatic sunsets and sunrises.
