  White Noise Beach House continues to impress you in quiet ways. The open spaces, fresh sea air, and calm surroundings make it a place where  time slows down and moments feel special . It’s the kind of stay where you wake up relaxed and sleep with the sound of waves in the background 🌊✨. After a fun and relaxing first day, we planned something special for  Day 2 . We woke up early in the morning and went for a  long walk along the seashore . The beach was calm, the sky was soft with morning colors, and the surroundings felt fresh and alive 🌞🌴. During our walk, we were lucky to spot a few beautiful birds 🐦. Western Reef Heron: The Western Reef Heron stood quietly near the shore, waiting patiently in shallow water for fish 🐟. Watching this calm bird against the sea was a peaceful start to the day. Common Sandpiper: The Common Sandpiper kept moving along the water’s edge, gently bobbing its tail as it walked.   After visiting the  Udupi Shree Krishna Mutt , we headed towards our next stay —  White Noise Beach House , located near the beautiful  Kodi Beach  in Karnataka. This place turned out to be a perfect mix of comfort, calm, and coastal beauty 🌊✨. White Noise Beach House is a  beautifully designed homestay , built in a unique and modern style. It is ideal for  family gatherings, small groups, or anyone looking to relax close to nature . The house is spacious, well-maintained, and has a peaceful vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The only drawback is that there is no in-house kitchen at the property. Guests need to order food from outside, and it’s best to place the orders well in advance. Last-minute food requests may not always be possible. This post continues from my earlier blog,   Mahabalipuram Temple Complex – Part 1 .   After exploring the first half of the complex, I moved on to the other side, which is home to the   Lighthouse   and several beautiful monuments. The  Mahabalipuram Lighthouse  stands tall on a rocky hill, offering breathtaking views of the town and the Bay of Bengal. Built in the early 20th century, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sea breeze and the sunrise — though, unfortunately, it was a cloudy day during my visit, so I missed the sunrise view. Just beside it is the  Olakkannesvara Temple , also known as the  Old Lighthouse . This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, sits atop the hill and offers a stunning panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding monuments. Sometimes the best trips are the ones that aren’t planned at all — and our Mahabalipuram trip was exactly that! It all started with a Sunday morning call from Vinod asking, “How about a quick beach trip?” There was no plan, no packing — just excitement! We quickly checked a few options and decided to go towards the East Coast since the West Coast had heavy rain alerts. We first thought of Pondicherry but then finalized   Mahabalipuram   — a perfect mix of beaches, temples, and good vibes. We began searching for beach resorts and found plenty of options along the  East Coast Road (ECR) . Luckily, we got a room at  Coral Beach Resort , just about 3 km from the town center. Early in the morning, we started from Bengaluru, taking the  Hosur–Gingee route  — a scenic single-lane road that made the drive enjoyable. We reached Mahabalipuram in about six and a half hours. Recently, we had a lovely trip to Goa with all our family and friends. The idea for this get-together came up when we were in Belagavi for Rishab's birthday celebration. After the birthday, we headed to Goa to continue the fun and spend more time together. We booked a villa on Airbnb for our stay, which was said to be near Calangute Beach. The website mentioned it was within walking distance, but unfortunately, that turned out to be incorrect. The villa was actually around 5 kilometers away from the beach. Because of that, we couldn't visit the beach as often as we had planned. We only managed to step out during the evening to catch the sunset and enjoy some time by the shore. The weather was quite hot, and since we had small kids with us, it wasn’t easy to go out much during the day. Most of our time was spent indoors — but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
