Keeping the distance to be covered for our last day of trip in mind, started early morning from Murudeshwar and plan was to have breakfast at Honnavar and visit Sharavathi Suspension bridge and Sharavathi Valley View on the way to Jog falls. From Honnavar on the way to Jog falls at a distance of 25 we get Sharavathi Suspension bridge, there is an option for boat ride at this place. Nothing much to do at this place expect clicking some pics, you will get a nice pics around this suspension bridge. Spent some 20 to 30 mins here and headed towards Jog falls. Once you travel another 23 Kms from this point we will get a watch tower to see Sharavathi Valley View. Good thing about these two places are no need to take any deviations from the main road, we will get to see both the places on road side itself, but be careful while parking your vehicles. We will get to see one more waterfall on the way from road side, couple of times I tried to get infor...

Gokak Falls

Before heading to Marriage, plan was to visit Gokak waterfalls on the way (eventhough we knew that this is not the rite time to visit the waterfall).  Best time to visit is after Mansoon some where around August & September.   Tha Gokak waterfalls is around 125Kms from Badami and we may need 3 hours to reach Gokak. Its better to take Bagalkot route instead of Google Map suggested Route :P The Gokak waterfall is located at a distance of 6 km from Gokak town, in the Belgaum district. It also known as mini Niagara falls among the locals. The Ghataprabha River separated from the Malaprabha river by the Belgaum hills flows through the black soil plains before it enters the rocky belt of Gokak. There is a hanging bridge across the river, about 201 meters and its height above the bed rock is measuring about 14 meters. Only 30 people are allowed at a time inside the bridge (as per the notice board near the entrance gate!). Walking down the hanging bridg...

Trip to Coorg was dedicated only to spend some quality time together with our gang. Mr. Mahesh was traveling to Poland for long term project, so we thought of giving him a warm send off!  The place was also suggested by Mahesh only, Booked a home stay away from the city, just to avoid the long weekend crowd.  We started late night as planned, for a surprise this time we started our trip on time. One more surprise was Manju, he also joined us for this trip (from past couple of years he was quite busy to join us for any trips). Coorg is around 260 Kms from Bengaluru and hardly it will take 5 hours to reach. Since we had enough time and don’t wanted to disturb home stay owner reaching early we stopped near Maddur CafĂ© coffee day for a break. After couple of hours chit chat near CCD started our journey and reached Coorg around 6.30AM.  The Home stay we booked was around 18 KMs away from the city and it was on Virajpet Road. We were welcomed by typical Co...
