Minchukal Betta Trek

Image
After a long gap of a few months without any trips, we badly needed a quick escape from our routine life. 🌿☀️ One reason after another kept delaying our plans, and with summer arriving in full force, the heat made us even more lazy to travel. Finally, Kiran suggested a Sunrise Trek to Minchukal Betta organized by the Charana team, and we immediately booked our slots for the first week of April. Unfortunately, due to a medical emergency, we had to postpone the trek twice. But as they say, good things take time — we finally made it happen in the third week of April! 😄🥾 About Minchukal Betta 🌄 Minchukal Betta is a peaceful hill located near Tumakuru district in Karnataka. It is still lesser-known compared to other popular treks around Bengaluru, which makes it perfect for people looking for a calm and crowd-free experience. The place is surrounded by rocky hills, open landscapes, and beautiful sunrise views. 🌅 The region around Tumakuru has historical importance and is known for its ...

Hosahalli Betta Trek

Image
During our visit to Sakleshpur, we planned a short trek for the second day of our stay. Since the homestay was surrounded by hills and greenery, we had a couple of trekking options. Finally, we decided to visit Hosahalli Betta, which is around 16 km from our homestay and is known for its peaceful views and easy trail 🌿⛰️. Hosahalli Betta is a lesser-known hill in the Western Ghats region. It has been used by locals for farming and as a watch point in earlier days. Today, it is slowly gaining popularity among trekkers for its calm environment and scenic views. We started early at around 7:00 AM, hoping to return by breakfast time. It took us about 30 minutes to reach the trek base. This time, Google Maps guided us perfectly, and the drive itself was very scenic 🚗🌄. When we reached the spot, one group was already at the top of the hill. There was plenty of open space for parking. We had heard that there might be a jeep route to the top, but we didn’t find any jeeps. To restrict privat...

Anjanadri Temple, Chintamani

Image
I have visited most of the hills around   Chintamani , but one place was always pending on my bucket list –   Anjanadri Temple . This beautiful temple is located on top of a small hill, right in the heart of the town. For a long time, I couldn’t find the right opportunity to visit it. Finally, during my recent visit to Chintamani, I decided that this was the day! 🙏 Reaching the top of the hill is quite easy and does not take more than  15 minutes of walking . However, finding the entrance can be a little tricky. The route passes through  narrow town roads , so you may need to ask locals for directions. Once you find the path, the short climb is pleasant and manageable. At the top, the atmosphere was  very calm and peaceful . There were hardly any people around when I visited. I spent some quiet time there, enjoyed the cool breeze, clicked a few photos 📸, and simply relaxed while taking in the view of the town below. 🛣️ Distance & Travel Info Distance from...

Nirvana Beach

Image
On the second day of our trip, we planned a relaxed morning before heading back to  Bengaluru . We woke up early and took a peaceful  walk along Nirvana Beach  🏖️. The calm waves and soft sand made it the perfect spot to start the day. Staying at Nirvana Beach  was a peaceful and memorable experience 🌊✨. The beach is quiet and almost private, with very few people around, making it perfect for relaxation. There are only a handful of resorts and homestays nearby. We stayed at  Parna Kuteera , which offers options like  dormitory rooms, family rooms, tree houses , and even  tents  ⛺. We chose a  tent right near the shore , falling asleep to the sound of gentle waves and waking up to the sunrise over the sea 🌅. It was a truly unique way to enjoy the serene beauty of the beach. Even though we were on the  west coast , the sunrise was beautiful 🌞, and we managed to click some amazing pictures 📸. After soaking in the view, we spent ...

Beach Trek to Gokarna

Image
My first trek of the year happened at the very end of 2025! 😄 Since I hadn’t managed to go on any trek earlier, I was really excited when Kiran suggested planning one. He had trekked with the Charana Team before, so this time he booked a slot for a  Beach Trek  with them. It was my first trek with this team, and I was curious to see how it would go. We boarded our TT from  Majestic  as informed and reached the destination on time. Distance from Bengaluru to Kumta is around 475 km and takes 10 to 11 Hours to reach. After freshening up and having breakfast to fuel up 🥪, we packed our lunch and began the trek. The weather was pleasantly cool 🌤️, which made the hike easier. Earlier my Beach trek was from Kumta to Gokarna trek, but this time we started from  Nirvana Beach  🌅. We started from  Nirvana Beach , aiming to hike  Aghanashini Hill  ⛰️ and reach the  Aghanashini Jetty  to cross the backwaters by ferry. However, many p...
