Brahmaputra River cable car ride

The Brahmaputra River cable car ride in Guwahati offers a spectacular aerial view of the mighty river and its surrounding landscapes. Stretching over 1.8 km, it connects the banks of the river, providing a unique and scenic experience.



Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Pobitora is famous for its dense population of one-horned rhinos, with around 107 of these majestic creatures calling the sanctuary home. In fact, it boasts the highest density of one-horned rhinos in the world! Apart from rhinos, the sanctuary is also home to leopards, wild boars, barking deer, wild buffalo, and over 2,000 migratory birds, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.



Krang Suri Waterfall

The waterfall is nestled in the mountains, and you can even spot it from a distance. To reach it, we had to walk for about 15 minutes along a narrow, slippery path.




Mawlynnong: The Cleanest Village in Asia


Mawlynnong is known for its spotless streets, eco-friendly lifestyle, and beautiful gardens. The villagers’ respect for nature is clear everywhere you look. It was so refreshing to be in such a quiet, neat place. Unlike other tourist spots, Mawlynnong was peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and connect with nature.






Riwai Village is just 3 Kms from Mawlynnong (10-minute drive away) where we find Living root bridge. The bridge is truly a marvel of nature—it’s made from the roots of ancient rubber trees that have been guided over many years to grow across a stream, forming a strong, natural bridge.





Borhill Falls


Borhill Falls which is around 20 KMS from Mawlynnong. Hidden in a lush green valley, this waterfall was a refreshing sight. Since it’s not a crowded spot, we had the place mostly to ourselves, which made the experience even more relaxing.






Shnongpdeng and Dawki were high on our wishlist, and we didn’t want to miss them on this trip. After an unforgettable stay in Mawlynnong, our adventure in Meghalaya continued as we headed to the beautiful riverside spots of Shnongpdeng and Dawki. Known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic beauty. With friends by my side, we were ready to explore and enjoy some fun by the river.






Cherrapunji, located in Meghalaya, is renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth, with lush greenery and breathtaking waterfalls. It's a paradise for nature lovers and home to unique attractions like living root bridges.





Dainthlen Falls


The unique thing about Dainthlen Falls is its connection to a local legend. It’s said that a giant serpent named "Thlen" once lived in the area, and the falls are named after the mythical battle in which the serpent was defeated.






The Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Meghalaya is a unique natural wonder, crafted from the intertwined roots of rubber trees by the Khasi people. Located in Cherrapunji, it offers an awe-inspiring blend of nature and engineering.






Mawsmai Caves in Meghalaya are stunning limestone caves known for their intricate natural formations and narrow passages. A popular tourist spot near Cherrapunji, they offer a thrilling experience of exploring Meghalaya's underground beauty.






Mawsawdong Falls, nestled near Sohra in Meghalaya, is a serene and picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Its tranquil ambiance and crystal-clear waters make it a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts.






After visiting Mawsawdong Falls, we stumbled upon a hidden gem—a beautiful natural swimming pool (Marnbuh Falls) nearby. This was a fantastic surprise and made for the perfect spot to take a break. Surrounded by greenery and the soothing sound of flowing water, we felt deeply connected to nature here.






Wei Sawdong Falls, near Cherrapunji in Meghalaya, is a mesmerizing three-tiered waterfall known for its turquoise-blue waters. Its unique structure and pristine surroundings make it a must-visit spot for adventurers and nature lovers.






Elephant Falls, located near Shillong in Meghalaya, is a stunning three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Named after a rock resembling an elephant, it’s a popular and easily accessible tourist attraction.






Mawphlang Sacred Forest in Meghalaya is a pristine and ancient grove protected by local Khasi traditions. Known for its rich biodiversity and spiritual significance, it offers a magical glimpse into nature and folklore.






Khasi Heritage Village, near Mawphlang in Meghalaya, showcases the rich culture and traditions of the Khasi tribe. It offers visitors a glimpse into their lifestyle, architecture, and heritage through beautifully crafted huts and artifacts.
