Ooty visit this time was on the occasion of Nischith’s wedding. Nothing much planned this time during our stay in Ooty. Since wedding was on weekdays, while driving to Ooty traffic was very less and felt like it’s always better to drive on weekdays practically which is bit difficult to execute 😃 Our first stop was near Shivalli Restaurant for breakfast. It’s a very good place to stop while traveling with family. There is enough parking, well maintained restrooms and we will get very tasty food  😃 Should try Idly here, it’s quite different in look but very tasty. After having breakfast continued our journey, again we were in Bandipura forest in less than a month. But this time also no luck of witnessing any wild animal. While heading towards Ooty we took Kalhatty ghats where we will be driving through 36 hair pin bends. Which also reduces journey time to almost one and half hours. Drive to Kabini back waters was not part of the plan, actually we didn’t had any plan before we started from Bengaluru for this trip. Since it was last minute plan to go out for a hang up, we didn’t had any particular plan, we just booked the home stay near Koorg and started our journey. As usual it was late night drive and stopped near Mysuru place for a quick break around 3.00 AM. Its was a quite good time to take a pic under lights without any crowd. Got some of good clicks and continued our journey reached our destination around 8.00 AM. Booked the same home stay Nisarga comforts, which we visited almost 5 years back when we visited Iruppu falls . Because of long weekend and holiday season all the places were crowded so decided to just hangout around home stay. Sakaleshpura is one the most popular gateways around Bengaluru.   Since it’s one of the famous routes for a quick ride around Namma Bengaluru saw many bike raiding groups on this route 😊   There are lot of options for food on this route. Quite famous one are ‘Kicchana Halli Mane’ and ‘Swathi Delicacy’ which are one opposite to each other and located near Kunigal. Kicchana Halli Mane opens at 6.00 AM and closes at 10.30 PM. It’s a very decent place to visit with family. After having breakfast in Kicchana Halli Mane stopped on the way for quick photo shoot. Spent some time in photo shoot and headed towards Mosale Temple near Hassan.

Hemavathy dam (also called as Gorur Dam) one of the must visit places around Hassan, which offers a beautiful view to the visitors. The sight is more attractive when the gates of the reservoir are open and the water gushes down in a lovely manner. When gates are closed, it’s not suggested to visit this place. Best time to visit this place is monsoon and we were lucky enough to visit this beautiful place on the rite time. From Hassan its around 25Kms away (around 205 Kms away from Bengaluru) and roads are too good to reach this wonderful place. Even we can stop on the way in couple of places to see the beauty of Dam’s back water. While coming back from Mudigere we planned to visit this place, It took around 30 mins to reach Gorur from Hassan but spent more time park our vehicle because of huge crowd.
