Leh-Ladakh @ Winter

It was my second visit to this beautiful place, but totally in odd timings. Basically Leh-ladhak is open to tourist from month of June to September (that’s the ideal time or season to visit).  Just 5 months back i had visited this place for bike ride. And this time i was here for Chadar trek.

Chadar trek was cancelled in last minute due to some reasons and we planned for Stock Kangri trek, but before that we had couple of days left to explore Leh-Ladhak.

It was totally a different experience compared to my list visit in summer.We started exploring this place from Hemis Monastery which is around 45 Kms from Leh.




















On the way back to Leh stopped near Thikse Monastery.

At top of the world again – Khardungla Pass, first time when we visited this place we were standing in Que to take a pic near this board, but this time it was all empty and we could not spent much time out there because of cold. Even though the it looks like sunny day in this  pic, temperature was around -25 degree Celsius!!!

Spent couple of days visiting the places around Leh and it was time to explore Stok Kangri.

Finally adventurous trip turned out a family trip and this group is never less than a beautiful family 🥰

There are lot of historical places around Namma Bengaluru, one such place is Bheema Bakasura betta which is around 70 Kms from Bengaluru. This hill is located in a small village called Kaiwara, Chikkaballapura district. Kabbalu Betta Trekking

Kabbalu betta trekking is one of the options for the hikers around bengaluru and located near Kanakapura talluku. Its   around 80Kms from Bengaluru. We have couple of options to reach Kabbalu:  Bangalore > Ramnagar > Chenpatna > Kabbalu (82 KMs) Bangalore > Kanakapura > Satanuru >Kabbalu (87 Kms) I had been to this place many times before but could not get a change to trek this hill, it is one of the best places for those who wish to start trekking.  Since it’s a last minute plan, could not invite anyone for this trekking. But the special thing about this trekking is my brother Kiran joined me for this trekking. Mawsawdong Falls

We kicked off our day in Cherrapunji with excitement, ready to explore some amazing spots nearby. Our first stop was Mawsmai Caves , one of the popular attractions in the area. The cave isn’t too long, but it’s packed with interesting spots and unique formations. This little adventure set the tone for the rest of our day. To get to Mawsawdong Falls, we drove a short distance from our earlier stops. The path to the falls took us through small villages, scenic hills, and patches of thick green forest, giving us a glimpse of the peaceful countryside. Once we arrived, we followed a short, easy trail that led us down to the waterfall. The water flowed gracefully over the rocks, creating a beautiful cascade. Unlike some of the bigger waterfalls in the area, Mawsawdong has a calm and peaceful vibe. The falls flow into a clear, natural pool below, with rocks and trees surrounding the area.
