Drive to Mangalore

Though there is lot of places to visit in Mangalore, this drive was just dedicated to hangout with friends and try some delicious food around the city.

Mangalore is around 350 Kms from Bangalore and can be reached with in 5 to 6 hours depending on the number of breaks, even shiradi ghat is open and one will enjoy the drive through this beautiful place.

We stated from Bengaluru early morning around 4.00 Am and stopped near Sakaleshpura for breakfast. Stopped once again in Shirdi ghat for photo session. When we were around Kempuhole (river which flows in shiradi ghat) it reminded me Sir Poorna Chandra Tejaswi’s jugari cross book, where he described very beautifully this river and the shiradi ghat.

After spending some time in shiradi ghat continued our journey and stopped again near Kalladka, for special tea and Manglore buns. Should not miss this once you are traveling on this road. It’s a unique type of tea you will get it here.

Having special tea, finally reached our destination Summer Sands Beach Resort by lunch time. Completed the check-in formalities and headed for Narayana Hotel to try fish meal.

Having delicious fish meal headed today Pabba’s Mangalore’s very famous ice cream parlour to taste yummy ice cream.

After tasting delicious food returned back to our resort and it was time to get into pool and spend remaining time in party.

It was a wonderful place to stay and spend some peaceful time with your family and friends.

While coming back stopped near Hassan for lunch and its famous dish ‘Shilpa fry’ sounds something different but trust me its worth to taste this item.

After having late lunch, its almost end of the trip and reached Bangalore around 10.00 PM.
