Hirekolale Lake is one of the most wonderful places to visit in Chikkamagaluru, it’s surrounded by the beauty of mountains in the Western Ghats,. This beautiful man-made lake is good for every spectator in Chikkamagaluru and must not be missed while visiting Chikkamagaluru tourist places. 

It was built as a source to supply water for drinking and irrigation purposes to the town of Chikkamagaluru. The lake is included by gorgeous surroundings and offers a wonderful place to spend some quality time with family & friends.

Hirekolale Lake offers the most wonderful views of the landscape at the time of evening when the huge number of travelers gather here. It is a delight for photography lovers who are looking to add an idyllic sunset shot to their travel albums. One can also appreciate the exceptional views of Mullayanagiri Hills from Hirekolale Lake.










Hirekolale lake, is around 10 KMs from Chikkamagaluru Town and hardly takes 20 minutes’ drive. Hirekolale lake can be visited throughout the year. However, its famous to witness sunset at this place.

There is no entry fees for this lake as of now and its open for visitors throughout the day.

Horsley Hills is one of the perfect weekend getaway from Bengaluru, a bike ride to Horsley Hills offers a thrilling and scenic adventure. Located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, Horsley Hills is approximately 150 KM from Bengaluru, making it an ideal destination for a short road trip.   We can take multiple routes to reach Horsley Hills but we chose,   Bengaluru – Hoskote – Chintamani – Madanapalle – Horsley Hills route. Its approximately 150 KM from Bengaluru and need 4-5 hours (depending on number of breaks we take).   The road conditions are generally good, with a mix of highways and country roads. After Hoskote, it's a single road, but the condition is relatively good. Be cautious of some potholes and patches after crossing Chintamani. Sri Dharmagiri Manjunatha Swamy Temple is a very Popular Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located near Banashankari 2 nd stage. Devotees visit this temple on a daily basis as Regular Bhajans and Veda chanting are conducted at this temple.
