SRS Hills
SRS Hills, also known as Revanasiddeshwara Betta, is a beautiful destination for trekking and spiritual seekers, located approximately 60 km from Bengaluru. This hill is famous for its temple at the top, dedicated to Lord Revanasiddeshwara, and offers a mix of adventure and serenity.
After exploring Kunagalu Betta in the morning, we returned to SRS Hills around 10:00 AM. The timing was perfect, as the temple atop the hill had just opened for visitors. We climbed to the top, eager to have darshana of Lord Revanasiddeshwara and enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit.
The climb to the top of SRS Hills is a moderate trek with well-maintained steps leading to the temple. It takes around 30–45 minutes to reach the summit. The journey is surrounded by lush greenery and rocky landscapes, making it a refreshing experience. At the top, the hill offers a peaceful ambiance and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The ideal time to visit SRS Hills is during the winter months (October to February), as the weather is cool and pleasant. Early mornings or late afternoons are recommended to avoid the midday heat. Visiting during the monsoon season can also be delightful if you enjoy lush greenery, but be cautious as the steps might be slippery.
The main attraction is the hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Revanasiddeshwara, a revered figure in Karnataka. The peaceful environment and stunning views from the top make it a favorite spot for both devotees and trekkers. The steps to the temple make it accessible even for beginners and families.
Charges and Facilities:
- Parking Fee: ₹10 for two-wheelers.
- Entry Fee: None, but visitors may choose to offer donations at the temple.
