Beach Trek to Gokarna

My first trek of the year happened at the very end of 2025! 😄 Since I hadn’t managed to go on any trek earlier, I was really excited when Kiran suggested planning one. He had trekked with the Charana Team before, so this time he booked a slot for a Beach Trek with them. It was my first trek with this team, and I was curious to see how it would go.
We boarded our TT from Majestic as informed and reached the destination on time. Distance from Bengaluru to Kumta is around 475 km and takes 10 to 11 Hours to reach.
After freshening up and having breakfast to fuel up 🥪, we packed our lunch and began the trek. The weather was pleasantly cool 🌤️, which made the hike easier.
Earlier my Beach trek was from Kumta to Gokarna trek, but this time we started from Nirvana Beach 🌅.
We started from Nirvana Beach, aiming to hike Aghanashini Hill ⛰️ and reach the Aghanashini Jetty to cross the backwaters by ferry. However, many paths were blocked, so we returned to the starting point and took a vehicle to reach the jetty.

After crossing the water, we began from Belekan Beach, where a beautiful Hanuman Temple 🛕 sits near the shore.

A short walk brought us to Paradise Beach 🏝️, where we paused for a lunch break 🍱.

Next, we reached Half Moon Beach 🌙. Our plan was to finish the trek by 4 PM and head back to the homestay, Since we could not complete our trek on time and dont want to miss the sunset too! we stayed at this beack. While waiting for others to join spend some time playing in the water 🏊 and exploring the beautiful coastline.

After some fun, we moved to Om Beach to catch the sunset. The beach offers water sports, but we just relaxed and enjoyed the view. Watching the sunset at Om Beach was the perfect ending to our adventure. 🌅

After the trek, we stopped at the fish market 🐟 to buy fresh fish for dinner. Back at our stay, we freshened up and enjoyed an amazing meal. Sitting by the shore, chatting with new friends, and listening to the waves on a full moon night 🌕 made the day truly memorable.
