Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village Museum, located near Manipal in Karnataka, is a place where history feels alive. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere feels calm and timeless. Walking through the museum is like stepping into another era. Each house has its own story, showing how people lived, worked, and worshipped many years ago. The peaceful surroundings make it a perfect place to slow down, observe, and truly connect with the past 🚶‍♂️✨.

The museum is spread across a large area. As you walk along the paths, you’ll come across beautifully crafted wooden houses, temples, and artifacts that highlight the skill, culture, and traditions of earlier times. Every turn reveals something new, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

📜 A Place That Preserves History

Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village Museum was founded by Dr. Vijay Sankeshwar with a noble vision — to save heritage buildings that were at risk of disappearing. Many of the structures here were dismantled from their original locations and rebuilt at the museum with great care, keeping their original design and character intact 🪵🏠.

Because of this effort, Hasta Shilpa stands today as an important space for preserving architectural and cultural history, allowing visitors to experience heritage in a very authentic way.

Kabbalu betta trekking is one of the options for the hikers around bengaluru and located near Kanakapura talluku. Its   around 80Kms from Bengaluru. We have couple of options to reach Kabbalu:  Bangalore > Ramnagar > Chenpatna > Kabbalu (82 KMs) Bangalore > Kanakapura > Satanuru >Kabbalu (87 Kms) I had been to this place many times before but could not get a change to trek this hill, it is one of the best places for those who wish to start trekking.  Since it’s a last minute plan, could not invite anyone for this trekking. Mawsawdong Falls

We kicked off our day in Cherrapunji with excitement, ready to explore some amazing spots nearby. Our first stop was Mawsmai Caves , one of the popular attractions in the area. The cave isn’t too long, but it’s packed with interesting spots and unique formations. This little adventure set the tone for the rest of our day. To get to Mawsawdong Falls, we drove a short distance from our earlier stops. The path to the falls took us through small villages, scenic hills, and patches of thick green forest, giving us a glimpse of the peaceful countryside. Once we arrived, we followed a short, easy trail that led us down to the waterfall. The water flowed gracefully over the rocks, creating a beautiful cascade. Unlike some of the bigger waterfalls in the area, Mawsawdong has a calm and peaceful vibe. The falls flow into a clear, natural pool below, with rocks and trees surrounding the area.
