The Shree Nakoda Avati 108 Parshwanth Jain Temple

After exploring the beautiful village of Lepakshi, we started our return journey towards Bengaluru. 🚗 On the way, we planned a short stop near Devanahalli to visit the famous Shree Nakoda Avati 108 Parshwanth Jain Temple, a grand Jain temple that is still under construction.

I have travelled on this route many times before, but somehow never got the chance to visit this place earlier. This time, we finally decided to stop and explore it. 😊

The Shree Nakoda Avati 108 Parshwanth Jain Temple is located near Devanahalli, around 40–45 km from Bengaluru. There is no major trek involved, but visitors need to walk a short distance inside the large temple premises, making it feel like a peaceful mini-walk surrounded by calm surroundings. 🌳

This temple is dedicated to Lord Parshwanath, the 23rd Jain Tirthankara. The architecture of the temple is impressive, with beautifully carved pillars and large structures inspired by traditional Jain temple designs. 🏛️

While speaking with the person in charge at the temple, we came to know that the construction has been going on for almost 30 years and may take another 10 years to be fully completed. That itself shows the scale and dedication behind this massive project. 🙏

  • Timings: Usually open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Entry Fee: No entry fee 🎉
  • Photography: Photos are not allowed inside the temple premises 📵

Unfortunately, we came to know about the photography restriction only after reaching there. Still, the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made the visit worth it.

The temple surroundings are extremely peaceful, and we hardly saw many people around. It felt like a perfect place to take a short break from the busy city life. We spent around 15 minutes enjoying the calm atmosphere before continuing our journey towards Devanahalli Fort, which is located just about 2 km away from the temple. 🏰

Sometimes, the best travel memories come from unplanned stops along the journey. ❤️
