Plan for Day – 2 was to catch up the Ferry to Shahid Dweep (Neill Island), opted for the package which includes all this ferry changes. We started from our hotel around 5.15 AM to catch up the ferry with packed breakfast. About Government Ferry: Govt. Ferry / Ships are leaving from Port Blair harbor (also known as Phoenix bay jetty) at 06-00 AM, 11-00 SM (via Neil Island) and 14-00. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Neill island.  For Indian nationals tickets can be booked only 04 days in advance and all tickets and seats are subject to availability. Tickets are issued through the 'STARS' counters managed by the Directorate of Shipping Services. Ticket charges are Rs. 525/- per person. Even some private ferry runs in this route with approximately Rs. 2000/- per person. My personal experience is one should travel in Government ferry, because they will provide an option to stand or sit in-front of the ferry which would be awesome experience. Since ...

They asked us to rush to hotel and get ready to visit Cellular Jail, since we didn’t had much time left to visit cellular Jail. Andaman Dairies # Part -1

Andaman – Nicobar one of the very beautiful places in India and first place came into my mind when I was planning for a vacation. Many travel agencies will provide n number of different packages to this place. This time I opted for Trip Factory services to plan this vacation. Since we planned this trip at the last minute, air fare was bit high! We have many direct flights from Bengaluru and if we get it they its around 3.5 hours journey to Port Blair from Bengaluru. When we contacted Trip factory team they shared couple of options: Option-1 , Option -2 , Option -3 and Option -4 , we opted for Option -4 and it was 6 Days and 5 nights package. We customized our trip a bit, I don’t wanted to visit all the places like museums and other boat rides, but my first moto of this trip was Scuba Dive and spend some quality time around beautiful beaches. Everything was finalized, once all tickets were booked got call from Spice Jet saying your flight is cancelled! Finally manage...

Drive to Somwarpet

Image
Somwarpet is ideal place for a road trip from Bengaluru, it’s around 235 Kms from Bengaluru and road condition is too good if we take Channarayapattana route instead of Mysore route. We can easily reach this place with in 4 to 5 hours depending on toll traffic and number of breaks. Somwarpet is one of the three talukas of Kodagu District, and located at distance of around 38 Kms from madikeri. Somwarpet has many attractions, Mallalli falls is the best waterfall located 25km from Somwarpet, one of the must-see waterfalls in Coorg. Beelur Golf Ground is located just 8 kms which leading to Kushalnagar town. Kottebetta is another main attraction and third highest point at 1620 meters above sea level. It’s been a long time we went to trip with this group, and this trip was only dedicated to have some good time with best buddies. Now a days there are plenty of options available in coorg for home stays, we booked Gowrikere Homestay. One main thing I liked about this place was no...

Drive to Mangalore

Image
Though there is lot of places to visit in Mangalore, this drive was just dedicated to hangout with friends and try some delicious food around the city. Mangalore is around 350 Kms from Bangalore and can be reached with in 5 to 6 hours depending on the number of breaks, even shiradi ghat is open and one will enjoy the drive through this beautiful place. We stated from Bengaluru early morning around 4.00 Am and stopped near Sakaleshpura for breakfast. Stopped once again in Shirdi ghat for photo session. When we were around Kempuhole (river which flows in shiradi ghat) it reminded me Sir Poorna Chandra Tejaswi’s jugari cross book, where he described very beautifully this river and the shiradi ghat. After spending some time in shiradi ghat continued our journey and stopped again near Kalladka, for special tea and Manglore buns. Should not miss this once you are traveling on this road. It’s a unique type of tea you will get it here. Having special tea, finally reache...
